St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School will be hosting a Family Literacy Day on Friday, January 27, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the school, 1 Edward Avenue North in Coniston. Mayor Dave Courtemanche, MP Ray Bonin, MP Diane Marleau, Sudbury Fire Chief, Donald Donaldson, Rossella Bagnato, Superintendent of Education for the Sudbury Catholic District School Board and representatives from Sudbury Regional Police as well as parents and grandparents will visit the school to read their favourite stories to the students. Mayor Dave will be reading to the Grade 5/6 French Immersion class at 11:00 a.m.
Jean McHarg, Academic Superintendent of Education for the Sudbury Catholic District School Board will be visiting St. Anne Catholic School to join with grandparents in reading to the students from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
