Shaking and Sharing!

photo

July 28, 2015 - SCDSB Teacher Nanette Shonwise created “Shake and Share” one of the many fun math centres she uses in her summer learning program at St. Francis School. She used water bottles filled with water, some glitter and 2 dice. She then sealed the bottles shut with glue. All that the students have to do is shake the bottle and look at the numbers at the bottom of the bottle. The object of the game is to add (or operation of choice) the 2 dice before the glitter reaches the bottom. Idea adapted by Jane Felling.
