SCDSB Top Two at Cambrian College 6th Annual Business Olympics

March 20, 2012 - Through funding from the provincial School/College/Work Initiative (SCWI), Cambrian College’s Business Olympics was held on March 6, 2012. Students from the Sudbury Catholic District School Board as well as the Rainbow District School Board participated in three different activities which included a storyboard/commercial presentation, a manufacturing exercise, as well as a logo identification game. A total of 18 teams with four students per team participated in the activities which were led by faculty from Cambrian College’s School of Business. Three teams were selected as the top winners:

1st Place – Marymount Academy – Brainpower – Team members include: Sandy Qiu, Corissa VendeWeghe, Emily Buss, and Stephanie Gustas. Each team member received an iPod Shuffle with a $25 iTunes gift card.

2nd Place- St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School – Bear’s Den – Team members include: Mark Abantao, Olivia Conrad, Alex Mensour, and Mark Vettoretti. Each team member received an authentic Cambrian College hooded sweatshirt.

3rd Place – Lively District Secondary School – Hawks Inc. – Team members include: Ashley Staalstra, Jade Stos, Dylanne Taylor, and Brandon Beneteau. Each team member received a $25 Cineplex movie gift card.
